When a shipping container door lock rod is mounted onto a freight transport container, follow the 8 steps:
(1) Inspect the container and door:
- Ensure the container and door are in proper condition for installation.
- Check for any damages or obstructions that may hinder the assembly process.
(2) Positioning the container door lock hardware :
- Place the container door lock rod along the length of the door, aligning it with the locking mechanism.
(3) Attachment of the locking mechanism:
- Secure the container door locking mechanism onto the door, ensuring it aligns with the holes or slots provided for installation.
- Use appropriate bolts, screws, or fasteners to firmly attach the locking mechanism to the door.
(4) Installation of bar lock hardware:
- If applicable, install bar lock hardware onto the door to reinforce security.
- Ensure the bar lock aligns properly with the container door lock rod and securely fasten it in place.
(5) Mounting lock parts:
- Install back door locks to provide additional security to the container rear doors. ( container’s side doors are available too.)
- Position the locks at the rear doors of the container, aligning them with the corresponding locking mechanisms.
- Use screws or bolts to firmly mount the back door locks onto the container doors.
(6) Testing:
- Test the functionality of the assembled components by closing and locking the container doors.
- Ensure the container door lock rod engages properly with the locking mechanisms and that all locks are securely in place.
(7) Applying container seal lock:
- Once everything is securely assembled, apply a container seal lock to prevent unauthorized access to the container contents.
- Follow the instructions provided with the seal lock for proper application and sealing.
(8) Final Inspection:
- Conduct a final inspection to ensure all components are properly installed and functioning correctly.
- Check for any loose bolts or screws and tighten them as needed.
